Hello there! I would like to introduce myself. I am the mother of 2 incredible people and the wife of a very tolerant man who continues to put up with my endless educational endeavors. I grew up in the city but I much prefer the country. Give me wide open spaces, fresh air, the stars in the sky, and seedlings growing. What makes me even happier; are genuine smiles, the sound of laughter, and the gratification of helping people find their own path.
I am a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of critical care experience. I spent 9 years working as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and leading a hospital based Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program. It was during this time that I became fascinated with how emotional and psychological trauma can affect the physical body and vice versa.
I am also an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I believe that our optimal health is best attained when we can supply the nutrients our body needs to maintain healthy function. These nutrients are not just based on our plate, but also in our environment. Your values, culture, belief systems, emotions and past trauma, relationships, finances, diet, and movement/exercise will all have implications in our health.

My wellness journey
My healing journey started when I had a sudden onset of fatigue. Over a few weeks, it progressed to brain fog, blurred vision, and shortness of breath. I sought help from my primary care provider, pain specialists, Rheumatology, and Neurology. None of the blood tests, imaging or neurological testing was able to provide an answer. The initial symptoms then progressed to weakness in my arms and legs, loss of fine motor control, migraines, pain to my entire body, digestive disturbances, heart palpitations, anxiety, nightmares and panic attacks, and worst of
all; memory loss.
I received multiple diagnoses ranging from chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression and was headed toward a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I started to question my training and my perspective on the limitations and applications of modern medicine. I began to seek out alternative therapies and to my surprise, they actually worked. Had I not sought out alternative therapies, I would be wheelchair bound and reliant on prescription medications.
It took years of learning about the needs of my body, and listening to how my body wanted to heal from Lyme. Had I not gone through these challenges, I would not have believed that it was even possible. Since that time, I have been seeking out alternative therapies to heal the mind, body and spirit. I believe that if given the chance, the body can heal itself.
I believe in educating and guiding people to make the decision that is best for them based on their unique bio-individuality. I feel very blessed to have experienced different sides of the spectrum of healthcare care. I understand that there is a time and place for alternative strategies and modern medicine, and that they function best when they complement each other. I cannot treat, diagnose or cure any disease. My goal is to help your body heal itself.
“I have held many roles but none as gratifying as this. The road has been long, and filled with emotional rollercoasters, psychological challenges, and physical hurdles to overcome. And I could not be more grateful for every single piece of it. My passion is fueled by guiding and watching people grow and learn to heal themselves. There is nothing that you can tell me that will make me think anything less of the beautiful human being that you are. Consider me your guide. If I can’t help you, I will help you find someone who can.”
